Winter Twirlers
The Ridgewood High School Winter Twirlers are an integral part of the RHS Band Program. While this group practices and performs independently from the band, the skills learned are easily transferred to the field for the fall marching band season.
The Winter Twirlers are a mostly non-competitive group that meets weekly beginning in January to provide students with an opportunity to learn or improve skills on the baton. No experience is necessary to join this activity, although some dance experience is helpful. There is no audition requirement.
An information and organizational meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 21 at 6:30PM in Room 150 (Band Room). At that time, membership expectations and rehearsals will be discussed and season calendars will be distributed. Students are encouraged to bring a parent to this meeting.
The Winter Twirlers begin practices in January, and meet every Monday at Somerville School, beginning at 3:30PM.
Winter Twirler Instructor is Patti Wojtowicz.
